Greetings all,

I want to introduce "The Shapeshifter" (http://xnamentor.com/blogs/shapeshifter), a blog about games, MMOs, the characters we play in them and how thery affect us. While my primary MMO is World of Warcraft, I also have active accounts in EVE Online, Star Wars Galaxies, Guild Wars, Free Realms, EverQuest II and Second Life. This is not just about WoW, it's about many MMOs, the players themselves and the lifestyle that goes with it.

Yes, my main is a druid in WoW, that is partially what inspired "The Shapeshifter" name, but this is not a blog about druids. I use the term "shapeshifter" to relate to any MMO player assuming a new shape when they transfer themselves into their online avatar. If we play MMOs, we are all shapeshifters in one way or another.

The blog is currently at http://xnamentor.com/blogs/shapeshifter. I plan on aquiring a dedicated URL for it soon.

Some noteworthy features/articles already posted include my "Naxxramas Bingo" and "Brewfest Tips to Become Brewmaster". If you have comments or want to reach me, the best way is to follow me and contact me on Twitter, at http://twitter.com/ActiveNick. You can also post here in this thread. I'm currently using a 2-year old version of Community Server Pro to host my site and I'll upgrade it to the latest version soon. More features will be enabled them, including richer sidebar content and comments will be re-opened.

Thanks!

I really enjoyed your article on leadership within guilds. Very interesting and informative. Also, your Brewfest tips were right on the money!

Added your link to my General Gaming sites list at rpgeeks.com.

I enjoy reading your blog's content. However, I cannot bring myself to do so for any length of time due to the uncomfortably long line lengths. :(

I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean:

  • The blog posts are too long?
  • The sentences are too long?
  • The formatting is too wide somehow, forcing to scroll horizontally? I made sure this does not happen on my screen but maybe other browers are behaving differently.

Good or bad, I always appreciate constructive feedback, thanks.

Sorry, should have been more specific. I don't have to scroll horizontally to read the whole line, but the lines are nevertheless very long. Consider how in magazines, which are typically a lot wider than books, there are never lines of text that span the whole horizontal stretch. That's because it's generally not a comfortable reading experience for the eye.

As you can see on my blog (http://runeforgegossip.wordpress.com/) the line length is a lot shorter than your blog's, which, in my opinion, makes it easier to read. Post/sentence length are fine, though. :)

I'm so jealous of your figureprint you don't even know! Your blog was very unkind on my eyes, the font/color didn't like me =( lol
