Started listening to the Podcast on Episode 18 for the Druid goodies. I'm liking what you guys are doing, it's a new addition to my normal podcast list.

One thing I would like to suggest is to somehow trim down the size of the podcast MP3 file. For the length of the podcast, 114 MB is a bit large. Most of my podcasts of comparable length clock in at about half that or smaller.

I suggest changing the MP3 settings of the recordings to save file size. You can also save a bunch on bandwidth costs too. I am not sure on the exact savings, but you could change from stereo sound to mono and reduce the bitrate from 192 to 64 or even lower.

You can checkout the audio settings from the MP3s from This Week In Tech or MSNBC Audio Podcasts for some examples to help reduce the file size.

Thanks! I ran ideas like this to others at one point and they all preferred that I keep the bitrate what I have it at. I also am using joint stereo, so I think it doesn't save it in "real" stereo, just plays the same audio in each ear.

I can see if I can lower it and how the quality changes when I get a chance.
