So in true Matticus-like style, I've devised a little checklist to follow before any post goes live. The reason being is that I am quite possibly the most disorganized person the planet. Organizational behavior is not exactly a core requirement at school right now, and I've started using that for homework and assignments. Figured what the heck, why not apply it to blogging, right?

Before I finalize said check list, I'm going to get some more feedback and the like on it. More importantly, did I forget anything?

* Title: Very very important. (Untitled) is not a good title.
* Post: Make sure its filled up with stuff.
- Checked for typos
- Factual accuracy (I fail in this regard)
- Formatting/coding (Breaks, closed tags, spacing)
* Categories (Make sure a post about raiding and PvE stuff isn't in your PvP category
* Tags (Throw in some keywords. If it's about Illidan, put in T6, raiding, black temple, Illidan, boss, heal/dps/tank, )
* Scheduling: If you schedule your posts to appear at a certain time, make sure you enter it in accordingly. I think Wordpress uses a 24 hour system. Not sure if that can be changed.
* Proof read it: Wire it to a guildy, or give someon you trust contributor access/author access so they can preview it as it should look.

...I have a feeling I forgot something.

Part the Xth: Verify images / links are working?
Part the Yth: (I do this, anyway. Dunno how broadly applicable it is when you're using something more friendly than the Blogger interface to craft posts.) Modify "target" locations on all links so that they open in a different window instead of directing people away from your blog.

That's all I can think of, at the moment. This is a pretty great list to keep handy and check twice before hitting the Publish button.

This might be just me, but...

æ) Make sure that you actually like what you wrote. If I'm not happy with a post, I'll save it, and come back to it later. I might end up rewriting the whole thing.

I might be writing for an audience (after a fashion), but if I don't like to read it, I certainly don't want to subject anyone else to it.
