Blog Name : Survival Hunters Anonymous

Address : Survival Hunters Anonymous

Blog Purpose :
I couldn't find a resource anywhere, outside of massively complicated theorycrafting sites, that could explain what the benefits of picking the Survival Tree were.

Furthermore, most of that number-crunching was complicated, and while crucial to understanding the advantage of Survival, could possibly frighten off future Survival Hunters.

So I decided to fill the gap created by lack of awareness and readily diffused, yet detailed knowledge on the class by creating a resource for Hunters who wanted to know about the Survival tree, which would be ideally easy to understand, funny, and informative.

Character Name : Trackhoof

Realm : Ravenholdt-US

(There's only one Trackhoof. I ain't that hard to find. :P)

Other Information
: I likes me some Judas Priest!

I'm not sure what to think about Track.

On one hand, he's got some great ideas and opinions about blogging and hunter related stuff. He's even got a Bruce Campbell avatar over at the BRK forums.

On the other hand, he did roll Horde. And not just any Horde, but a big freakin' Tauren. AND...he uses a gun.

I'm so confused.

Dec. 2007 - March 2008.

R.I.P, Survival Hunters Anonymous.

I accomplished what I set out to do with it; as such, I regard it as a success, and it will stay in its current form.

However, much like Yogurt from Spaceballs : The Movie, I will live on in my new blog; Back-Track.

It's been fun, guys. :)

-Track.

You know have the Approval of the Penguin.

I'll have to give this blog a look-see. If survival looks interesting I might even consider getting my hunter above level 2!

That was rather short.

True.

I'm sure there's plenty of nuances I missed, and inaccuracies up the ying-yang, but the meat and bones of basic and intermediate survival hunterage is right there, encapsulated in roughly 3 months' worth of posts.

Advanced stuff would've meant me going into great and tremendous detail about shot-rotation specifics, weapon speeds, et cetera, which would've no doubt helped a few people out to a great degree, as well as proper raid etiquette.

I honestly thought I'd be going on longer than I did; I had planned to outline gear choices pre-Kara for several other bits of armor, using every hunter trap (including Immolation and Explosion traps), Readiness as a primary asset of the Survival Hunter, raiding, educating other hunters, and a few other topics, including extensions of my "Know Your Role" posts, but it doesn't make sense to keep going when your heart isn't in it anymore.

*shrug* besides, as I said earlier, it's a success in my eyes. I may have not made it into the definitive Survival Hunter-ing resource, but it's a damn good one.

But going into the deep material is al that much more interesting.
It's what i'm digging into a little bit right now on my own blog, but it's slow going.

And there's always new patches and other related material that can be written about.

A good artist is never done.
