Make sure you go update yours right away. Looks like it's another security fix.

If you're looking for a quick way to update your WP installation, try this:

http://codex.wordpress.org/Version_2.3.3

That page is the changelog from version 2.3.2 to 2.3.3. At the bottom, you can find the files that were updated and changed. Just upload those (5 in this case) and you should be fine.

I hate upgrades. I always feel like im taking steps which have a high probability to break everything. Its even worse with the phpbb stuff on our guild's forums. I think my reluctane stems from the fact that I dont feel comfortable when backing up and re-inserting SQL databases.

I got the automatic update plugin and its AMAZING. thanks for the tip. The best thing about it is that it has simple links to download backups of the blog files in addition to a database backup and a log. So useful and reassuring.

Yelp. I use this plugin. I likes it, but I don't recommend trying the fully automatic verson,. I did that and had to reinstall. Has never failed when I step through it one step at a time tho.
