Other Information: I am an avid healer by choice and have been doing say since the early days in vanilla. I have grown fond of healing on my druid more than any other class and also like to swap over to balance when the raid requires it. I enjoy number crunching and discuss theory about raiding, druids, and the gaming experience as a whole whenever I can. My site is very new and I am still getting my feet wet but i'd greatly appreciate visitors and links from blogrolls. I'd very much like to become part of the blogging community and offer insight that is useful to others.

So I am curious...are there any suggestions for gaining traffic to the blog or any advice on just getting the word out?

There are so many amazing blogs out there and I know I'm not as good of a writer as they are, but I'd still like to find a way to get people involved. I feel a little clueless right now.

Write to them and ask them to link to you, or to give you a mention if they are doing a community spotlight post sometime.

A lot of blogs will do community spotlight posts to welcome new blogs, and to spread the word. I find them very valuable because there are often new blogs that I haven't spotted yet - sometimes I rely quite a lot on word of mouth from other blogger friends.

You should comment on as many as you can; when I get comments from people I like to wander to their address and check out where they've come from.

But I still miss a LOT of new blogs because people are afraid to say "Hey Keeva, I'm new, can you add me to your links and give me a plug some time?"

Oh, and getting on WoW.com is a great way to get a leg-up. If you have a post that you think would be good on their Daily Quest column, email them and ask if they'll link it.

I've been linked a bunch of times, but it's either from WoW.com staff finding my posts, or other people sending them in (I'm not sure). But I have also written to them in the past.

So if you've got an unusual or interesting post that would grab some attention if it was linked on WoW.com, that can be a great way to get a surge of traffic and let people know you exist

Welcome to BA! I tend to not add druid blogs to my blogroll until they are a little bit more established, but if you remind me in a couple weeks (when you have a little bit more content), I'll see what I can do.

Completely understandable. I know that inevitably your post count affects people linking to you via blogrolls as well as your chance of being spotted through google.

I registered with the google webmaster and am working to get a respectable amount of material up there before really trying to get myself onto prominent blogrolls. I appreciate the welcome though Lissanna I greatly respect your work in the druid community.

Long-time melee player, recently levelled myself a tree and entered ICC for the first time on Monday (6/12 done, woo!) with other alts in the guild. Will certainly bookmark you and especially keep an eye on any thoughts you have on changes to the class come Cataclysm.
