18th January 2010: After Arthas

This is something that was already in the works for Flinthammer Hall, and WoW.com alluded to it this morning, so I thought it might make a good shared topic after Arthas is unlocked and (presumably) taken down that first weekend sometime in late winter or early spring:

What now? What happens to the world of Azeroth? What happens to the people, the factions. How does this affect the relationships between the Alliance and Horde? What does your character think happens next? Is this the end for you, as a player, especially if you started, as I did, with Warcraft III? Is this the "end of history?"

(As always happens before an expansion, Ringo and Beli will be almost 100 percent wrong in their answer, as readers who followed the lead-up to the Burning Crusade remember. Hey, those guys looked like Eredar.)

This topic makes me happy in that nerdy way that lets me release my inner RPer. I've responded but the actual article won't publish until the wee hours of the 16th. I'll be running a raid when it published and will be too busy to post here so I'll post the link now.
