Blog Name: alter ego

Blog URL: http://alterego-wow.blogspot.com/

Blog Focus: mostly casual player content (quite obsessed though ;)), that means: no raiding, experiencing the WoW-world solo/five-men-only

Character Name: Algabal

Character Server: Frostmourne (EU)

Other Information: As my native language is not English, please forgive me my inproper use of idioms/phrases/gramar (I try to do my best, though) and please feel free to correct me or hint me to my mistakes. I am always trying to improve my skills.
Edit: I just brought this blog to life a few days ago, so it's still under construction and things will be added to the layout. But if you think I lack something major, give me a note!

Looks quite alright, and your english is far from horrible. Nothing to be ashamed of.

Welcome. I too thought your english was fine :) And I enjoyed reading it.

I have one teeny tiny suggestion that may or may not be easy to implement. It isn't a big huge deal if you can't but...regarding your background image, is there any way to make it fade at the end into a solid background rather than repeat?

That is actually a very good suggestion, because the background image bothers me myself!
I would love if anyone here can help me out on that - I simply have no idea how to do it. (I have never done any html or programming of any sort. To set the blog up, I simply followed tutorials I found in the net ) If no one here can, I will try to get hold of my younger brother who definitely can do such things, but is always too busy to do so.

You would need to copy it 9x into "paint.net", photoshop, paint shop pro, or whichever you prefer.
Then use a tool to blur / fade / bleed the edges of the outlaying images into the main one, then cut out the center image and "in theory" that one would then be able to be used as a repeating image.

I'm sure there's better ways to do it, but that's just one.

The main thing you'd want to do is ensure that the left / right side of the image fit together perfectly. In a model based world that shouldn't be too hard to do. The top/bottom is where the blurring comes in.

Code:

Thanks for your help Bbr. :D
I'll give it a try on the weekend.

Otherwise my brother promised to help, but I won't see him until March. Guess if your method is not working out, I will just have to live with it until then.
