This is a gamer who leads a full life outside of the game and only has limited time to play (part-time), but still wants their playing to be informed, efficient, and successful (hardcore). While there's been people playing like this for years, I don't feel there's been a term for it, and my blog is going to focus on the many trials and tribulations of living with this duality.
