2009 has certainly been a bumpy year for WoW bloggers. We have seen many wonderful new blogs appear, and we have farewelled some influential and delightful people. In the midst of all this change, many people have done some fantastic things. I'd just like to take this chance to acknowledge a few of the people who have helped make this year a wonderful one both for myself and the Blog Azeroth community.
Of course, Phaelia has to come first and foremost on the thank you list. Some people may not be aware that Phaelia and Valenna were the driving force that started the Blog Azeroth community in January 2008. Phaelia spent a great deal of her time nurturing and supporting this community until her retirement from blogging in February this year. I can assure you all that BA would not exist today if it were not for the efforts of Phae.
Bre now kindly serves as administrator for the forum. Thanks Bre for being willing and able to take the reins on this role.
Nibuca and Fimlys deserve a HUGE thanks for being so wonderful and supportive when we started to get the Shared Topic running again this year. If it wasn't for the posts on Twisted Nether, the mentions on the podcast... well, it would not have been the success it was.
Thanks to all the people who join the Blog Azeroth Chat Room. Your support this year has helped me get through some especially rough times when I was inches away from 'chucking the whole blogging gig'. In particular, Leafshine, Softi (who unfortunately no longer WoW blogs), Fimlys and Nibuca have been fantastic this year. I would encourage all bloggers to visit the Blog Azeroth Chat Room occasionally - it's a great place to go for blogging support and advice, as well as a good place to chat and hang out!
Finally, thank you to the most important people of all - every single blogger who comes to Blog Azeroth, signs up, participates in the community, and helps make this place so wonderful. If it weren't for you guys, this place would just be a dead little corner of the internet.
Hope you all have a fantastic Christmas season, and a wonderful New Year. Don't drink too much holiday spirits!
Looking forward to a great 2010.
