Recently I found WoW in a place that I hadn't expected it to be in the world outside the interwebs.
I was out grocery shopping, saw someone looking at the iPhone Armoury app, and struck up a conversation with them about WoW, completely out of the blue.
This was my first real out-of-game “hey, other people around me play WoW too!” kind of moment.

Have you had any of these moments? What’s the most unexpected place you’ve found something WoW-related?

Same thing happened to me a bit ago, except I was at a Dave & Busters. He was actually getting up from the table and I saw him checking the armory app and I asked him if he would rather be at home playing in passing. He looked up shocked, nodded and laughed. We didn't talk about it since he was at dinner with his friend, girlfriend or wife, but it was just funny he acknowledged my comment.

I thought it was funny, but I really haven't run into many people outside of the game that I knew right away played.

I don't really have a post on this, but wanted to pipe in my 2 cents.

I'm the other shoe. I'm the person people find that play wow, in the strangest places.

The kids at my school, if they don't all know by now, will eventually find out.

"The lunch lady plays WoW!"
"No Way!"
"No she doesn't!"

Yes I do, I have an 80 priest, and an 80 hunter. And another 80 priest, and an 80 mage.

Unfortunately, I cannot just pull up my armory to prove it (anything that has Wow, Warcraft , video game, or similar items are blocked).

How did they find out?

The books I have sitting on my desk at service time. Or maybe it's the Frostmourne replica hilt keychain on my iPod.
