Hello everyone. I could really use some advice. I'm having trouble when I insert pictures or screenshots into my blog posts. They can look good and the right size on my site, but then they seem HUGE when I see them in my RSS reader (I use google reader). However if I resize them smaller, the get too small on the site.

What is a "best practice" for picture sizing in posts?

Also, any other related tips on pictures would be much appreciated. You can see what I've been doing with pictures on the site at www.warcraftstreet.com or in the feed at www.warcraftstreet.com/feed/.

It looks like you are uploading your pics to your website at actual screen size. Many themes automatically resize images, and I imagine that the theme is NOT resizing for your feed. As you're self-hosted, their may be some technical help available for this problem which I am totally unqualified to answer.

However, have you tried resizing your images PRIOR to uploading for insertion in your post? That may solve your issue. If not, let me know and I'll try to rustle up some more professional help!

Resizing the pic before I uploaded it worked well -- What I didn't understand was that wordpress (or the theme) was resizing the picture on the site but that wasn't happening on the feed.

I'd still be curious what size people recommend as a max size that works in the feed. I just sorta guessed.
