Hi guys,
I have written a guide on recording WoW for youtube (on Windows), which you might find useful.
I've been recording loads of Cataclysm Beta footage (nearly 100 videos now on my channel), and have learned a bit. I was not a youtuber before.

Thanks! Some really useful information there. I've been doing most of my beta recording with livestream, since it's free and easy, but I snagged a copy of Fraps a few days back for when I needed higher quality video, for emphasis on menus and such. I was unsure about some decent software to throw the parts together with though.

As for re-recording commentary, I've just used Audacity for it in the past. I could just comment on my video as I watched it with that, and it gave me the freedom to record several segments easily and then combine them later in editing software to make sure it all flowed.

Welcome. In the end, I found Sony Vegas home version was just right for my level of video-editing skills (almost none).

I've been trying to look into this as I would like to start posting some pvp videos, but have not had the time to do the research.

I've just read about the upcoming possibillity of live-streaming on youtube similar to ustream etc. any suggestions on that already?

Oh wow! I'm so happy I found this thread. I just started to dabble with this and have to admit...I'm completely clueless. I'll definitely be giving your link a read.
