Why 42? It's just an arbitrary number. I had this one on the back burner for a while, but I'm experimenting with the idea of a joint article for this one. Of course credit will be given. I intend to expand these with little blurbs and... stuff.

Anyway, here's what I got so far:

1: Hearing the 2 words "Heal me!"
2: Being asked for an innervate when you don't need one
3: Battle rez and then promptly dying
4: Being rezed last AFTER a wipe
5: Watching DPS get rezed FIRST
6: Hitting ready when you're not actually ready
7: Being out of line of sight for heals
8: Being told how to play
9: Being compared to a resto shaman (/lowblow =))
10: Being asked to explain why your healing is sucking compared to others when you didn't really have much to do
11: Watching other dispelling classes NOT dispelling
12: Feign Death/Ice Block/Aggro Wipe maneuver which moves a mob onto the next higher player (which happens to be a healer)
13: Having to move. A lot. Hate those bosses.
14: People running toward you during Gruul Shatters
15: Lack of buffs. Theres 3 Priests, why do I have to fort everybody? =(

Annnnd that's all I got. I might even scrap this one entirely. Haven't quite decided yet. Ideas?

I'm also entertaining the idea of guest blogging or series' blogging (1 person writes 1 thing about this, the next person follows up, etc), or even joint pieces.

16. Being the one person in the PUG who runs back.
17. Having DPS tell you how to heal the tank. (I know, it's kinda covered in 8, but I like how ironic it is)
18. "If the Tank dies, it's my fault. If I die, its the Tank's fault. If anyone else dies, it's their own fault." People who don't understand that.
19. Being blamed for every wipe under the sun.
20. Being told Fade is a permanent aggro-reducing ability like Soulshatter/Feint/Cower
21. Finding tanks that can't gain AoE threat over heals.

This is fun. =P

22. Being begged for "just one more instance run" when it's 2am.
23. When you're blamed for the tank dying when he aggro'd too many mobs and you're stuck trying to heal everyone and their mother.
24. If someone else in the raid asks you for mana pots halfway through.
25. Ignoring the healer's warnings until it's too late.
26. Using Feign Death right next to a healer on a difficult pull, scaring them into thinking you're dead.
27. Linking the healing gear that they've been struggling to get to drop for weeks over and over in guild to taunt them when it got sharded.
28. A hunter refuses to toss out mend pet but insists you heal the pet instead of, oh, the tank.
29. "Is everyone alive? Okay, good." "Um, guys..." "Oh, the priest's dead. No cables? Sorry, guess you're running."
30. The dps goes afk on a wipe, expecting you to run back and rez them all.
31. Being expected to cover for everyone else's mistakes.
32. Being upheld to the "perfect healer model," causing you less room to make mistakes.
33. Telling your healer their job is "easy" and only requires "face rolling."

EDIT: Trollin, amazing person he is, beat me to it, so I had to renumber everything. But I am not erasing coinciding numbers because I thought of it at the same time! *pouts*

34. As a druid being asked to tank when specced pure Resto
35. DPSers thinking that they can do their own mob from the pull instead of focussing on the designated target
36. Tank not announcing the pull and running out of reach while pulling
37. DPSers pulling aggro off the tank on purpose
38. Getting aggro on the first heal
39. Healing in BGs and then being left alone to defend a flag
40. DPS letting their crowd control out of such
41. Respeccing because the guild is low on healers, telling everybody that you love healing, everybody respecs and you are forced to spec for tanking again because now the guild is missing tanks and you can't roll for healing stuff anymore.
42. A mage who does an AoE pull without giving a sign, dying and blaming the healer
43. Getting repeatedly killed by Assassin mobs in SL or SH

Can't think of any that haven't been posted before.

PS: maybe a list "how to make your healer love you" would also be good.

44: People that try to tell you that you need to improve your healing because *Random-Stat-Counter* shows that you have less healing than *Random-Raid-Healer* at the end of a smooth raid.

Can't come up with more right now... ^^

@ Yashima: Hi there, seems like i'm not the only one here. ;-)

I know we're past 42, I just have to get these in:
More ways to annoy your (druid) healer:

45. Break crowd control near me.
46. Ask me for a rez after a near-wipe instead of running back.
47. People who don't bring their own water. Especially in Black Morass.
48. Tell me I can't come along because I don't have a real rez.
49. Scoff 'that was easy, the tank never went below 80%'. The tank knows, and I know, that the reason the tank never went below 80% was the average of 900 health ticking away at him every second.
50. [repeated emphasis on the Hunter Peel-and-Feign Healer Doom Maneuver, with very clear outlining of the fact that druids have no aggro reduction, aggro redirection, or damage-shielding move in their heal-capable forms]
51. Tanks/CC who account for all three mobs in a four-mob pull. Oops!
52. My personal favorite at the moment: Hunters and shamans who think wearing quest greens and carrying +def weapons means they can tank Shadow Labs/Black Morass/Shattered Halls/Tempest Keep and, in one extreme case, Karazhan. Sorry guys, but you're going to get two-shotted unless the healers stop paying attention to the actual tank(s) and start healbombing you.

Edited to re-number. Also, 13 isn't a problem for a druid healer... mobility is a high point for me. Love those fights where you can heal on the move, 'cause I'm not so likely to have my spot taken by a 'real healer, with a rez'.

Bitter? Me?

53. The Warlock Life Tapping away, only to gain aggro from the boss and ultimately dying.

/guilty

One more ...
54. DPS doing too little damage on a boss and blaming the healer for running out of mana.

Btw #49 so true ...
/target Rakel /wave

55. Run ahead and engage the next group of mobs while the healer is still drinking to regain mana.
56. Remind the healer that you also have a priest alt and "it's not hard," so why did they let you die?
57. Whisper the healer, ordering them not to heal the person in the group that happens to be bugging you at the moment.
58. Roll greed/need on bind-on-pickup healer gear, even if you're a rogue.

The best answer to this is, to remind him/her, that obviously, he/she is healing people like you when playing his/her priest, while you are forced to heal people like him/her. *fg*

Hehe... when I saw that happen once, the healer just said, "w/e," but I like your answer better.

59. Or the warlock life tapping away and whining when you Renew them, instead of healing them all at once.
60. Hunters complaining that you let their pet die, when you were busy keeping the players alive, and they never bothered with Mend Pet.
61. People refusing to run back after a wipe and expecting to get rezzed deserves another mention.

This has been mentioned a couple times, but since I play both a holy priest and a hunter:

62. Hunters who don't use a "Mend Pet" macro during combat.
63. Hunters who don't have Improved Mend Pet and want me to cure their pet's poison or disease.

(Incidentally, those people are part of the Huntard sub-class.) :p

But...but...I <3 Renew! As a 'lock, it's my favorite of the priest's healery spells! Unless I have aggro. Then something more substantial would be greatly appreciated.

Wow, thanks guys! That's a lot of material for me to go over now. This will probably go live later on today.

64. When you call out "I'll heal (insert lock's name here), so go ahead and lifetap" and then another healer overheals your lifeblooms.

AMEN, PREACH IT!

I get that so much in Karazhan (as the only place I'm usually in a group with another healer).

I think I've almost got them trained that when I say "[Lock X], tap it up!" the others leave them alone. Almost.

Ok this is just annoying to me..

- Oh, you are a holy paladin, you are only good at healing tanks, and are useless in 5-mans.

Oh and the other night, I had some random fury warrior telling me to group heal. He had to be told 4x by both me and the pally tank that we do not GROUP HEAL. He went oh yea, keep mixing you up with a druid. HUH?

If you don't have a healer, you usually have no idea how healing works.

66: Someone asking a paladin for a decurse.
67. Someone asking a druid for a dispel magic.
68. Someone asking a resto druid for a decurse with a boomy or mage in the group.
69. Using up your innervate, mana pot, dark rune, and another mana pot to down the boss, and immediately after, your pally healer makes a note of his full mp bar.
70. Asking them to tank Sethekk Halls.
71. When somebody takes advantage of your good will, your ability to heal, and your server's lack of healers.

72. Being told to heal the raid when the tank is getting spike damaged up the wazzooo.
73. Being told to Innervate a Paladin with 300 less spirit then I go out of mana.
74. "BRez SoAndSo" in a run around spread out raid boss, then not being able to get SoAndSo to Ping themselves.

Forgive me if this one was said already but...

my #1 way to annoy Messyah is to just run away when I'm low on health. He's there to help and heal me...but I'm always so eager to kill more things as fast as possible that I literally never slow down. I never sit to drink. I cannabalize ever moment I can and only life tap once or twice to get enough mana to take the next mob.

So, said mob is dead, I'm low on health...Messyah start's casting and I'm already 50 yards away on a new mob hehehe

77. HEALERS who don't train and level First Aid.

Also,

78. "People who AFK after a wipe and let the healers do all the running-back" deserves a third mention.
