I'm posting this in the wordpress section, as I have migrated to Wordpress.com; but it sorta applies to blogger and sorta to google reader.

A couple of months ago, I migrated my blog from Blogger to Wordpress.com, and things are plodding along quite niely. Wordpress seems to suit me a little better, and i have a handle on most of the things that I can and can't do with it.

However, there is something that is bugging me. I use Google Reader to aggregate my RSS feeds for reading, and wanted to add my own blog to it, just for the hell of it. However, when i use its "feed discovery" feature and search for Chain Trap it finds the old Blogger site, but not the new spangley Wordpress one. How do I ensure that this is changed? Or can I not?

Any advice appreciated, as I am a bit of blog tech n00b.

Cheers,

John (Psia - Chaintrap.net)

I'm not 100% sure this will work, but you could ensure that you've used FeedBurner to burn the RSS for your WordPress site then follow the instructions here to configure your Blogspot's feed to point to the Feedburned version. That way hopefully anyone subscribing to your blog will get your NEW RSS and not your old, even if they opted to subscribe via your Blogspot.com blog. I'm guessing that it will also automatically redirect current subscribers for you.

Thanks very much, Phaelia. I've done what you suggested and will let you know what happens.
